I had a blast running around town with John and Nikki for their Austin engagement pictures! We scouted out a number of art walls and ended up at Mayfield Park… awesome day!

Hollie and Clay decided to have their engagement pictures taken in Tomball, so we started off downtown by the depot and then headed to the Tomball Museum for some more rustic shots. Even though they kept the same outfits throughout, a change of scenery helped add a bit of diversity! (Plus, I love the simple bold colors they chose!)
The last time I took pictures for this gorgeous family was for Ephraim’s bar mitzvah, now it’s Rannanah’s turn! I love how this family seems to coordinate so effortlessly… a simple color scheme with patterns mixed in: family portrait perfection! This year’s photos were taken at the Centennial Gardens in Houston’s museum district.
This was a completely last minute session, but when I realized my nephew was almost 13 months old and still had no one year photos, I demanded a photo session! Patrick packed up Connor and some balloons and I brought with a few clothing options for Casey. (She came straight from work and had already decided she wouldn’t be in any of the pictures.. therefore, no change of clothes)
Your kids will want to see pictures of you in your “younger days.” These are fleeting moments that need to be captured. I always encourage parents to get in at least a few of the pictures- no matter your time constraints or personal hang-ups. You will never be this young again, remember that!
This past weekend, Kenali and I drove down to Galveston for some tropical-inspired maternity pictures. We didn’t shoot directly on the beach, but the flowy peach dress and green surroundings transported us to somewhere beyond Houston! More day trips are definitely a necessity!
