Alexandra: Yoga, Dance & Lifestyle

Alexandra is a native Australian who came to the states to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps of performing abroad. She has spent her time dancing in both Las Vegas and Houston, and has decided to open a yoga studio here in H-town!

I loved spending the morning with her for her branding shoot. We were able to get lots of variety with a half-day session that included multiple outfits and locations!! She even brought her precious pup, Lolli, along to add some “lifestyle” shots for her social media pages!

PS- Note how quickly she was able to change her first “look” by simply adding a kimono and white shirt over the top of it!

Carrie: Houston Pottery Artist

Carrie is the creator behind Texas Farmhouse Pottery, and she is an absolute delight! I loved hanging out in her pottery studio while she created her works of art. Sometimes, artists get caught up in perpetually making, that they forget people like to see the process too! These pictures are perfect for sharing on social media or a bio page on her website. ;)

Camp USA: red, white and blue

Every year, my Model Team likes to do a shoot for 4th of July, so I like to put a little spin on the red, white and blue. This year, we shot in front of a fabulous treehouse in Cypress, TX and did a summer camp themed shoot… we called it “Camp USA!”

I adore the retro summer camp vibes and the girls really came through with all their fun personalities! It warms my heart that they are building genuine friendships outside of the typical high school drama… we get together and we create. I. Love. It.

I hope everyone has a safe and fun Fourth of July- eat great food and chill with those you love most!!!

BFF sushi date

Jhane was the winner of a BFF mini shoot in the city this year. I let her pick the “theme”, and she decided on a sushi date with her friend Hadiya! I suggested we could incorporate food props (I was thinking cupcakes or pretty drinks by a mural), and she totally ran with it!

This shoot turned out to be a lot more documentary style than a “styled shoot”, and that is totally okay. :) I had never been to a sushi train restaurant, so it was an experience for me too! I loved hanging and chatting with these two ladies… talking about college and internships and work and future endeavors. They are completely driven young women, and a breath of fresh air amongst a generation that so often is more influenced by “likes” than real world opportunities. I adore you both- thanks for letting me document this cute little outing to the Kura Revolving Sushi Bar!

Model Team: Blueberry Picking

After my session with Kino and Kenali, I met a few of the Model Team members to experience the magic of the Chmielewski Blueberry Farm! We had fun bonding and learning the best spots to escape the sun and get the ripest blueberries. Each of us left with over a pound of fresh berries- so satisfying to eat something you know is completely fresh and free of pesticides! (Plus, they were SO DELICIOUS!)
