Hey there! I’m Crystal, the founder of Gilded Sun Photography and a dedicated Houston dance photographer who’s passionate about capturing the beauty, strength, and artistry of movement. My journey into photography began while I was traveling the world as a professional dancer and aerialist aboard cruise ships. It was at sea that I discovered two incredible loves—photography and my husband! We even named our son after the ocean Kai, and later made Houston our forever home.
With a strong background in performing arts, I bring more than just technical skill to each session—I bring understanding. As a trained performer myself, I know how much work goes into every pointed toe, fluid extension, and powerful leap. That’s why I became a Houston dance photographer: to serve this vibrant community of artists, studios, and creators with images that truly reflect their dedication and spirit.
My sessions are collaborative, fun, and tailored to you.
